A deck crew that builds houses in the winter

Eremos Construction builds tiny homes out of shipping containers in Utah County. A steel box engineered to cross an ocean is cut, framed, insulated, wired and plumbed, then finished inside like a house and delivered to the ground you already own.

The same owners run Eremos Decks, building custom decks, porches and pergolas across Utah County and the Wasatch Front. Same crew, same standards, working through the winter on a different kind of structure.

Decking is seasonal work in Utah. Container conversion is not: it happens under a roof with the tools and the people already in one place, which is why a build here runs on a schedule that a site build never does. It is the reason this line exists, and it is also why the finish work looks the way it does. The crew that frames and trims these units spends the rest of the year building things that have to survive a Utah winter outdoors.

Eremos is a Greek word for a solitary place, which is where most of these end up: a lot at the edge of a town, a piece of family land, a site somebody has been looking at for years without knowing what to put on it.
